100^th Anniversary Celebration Events – Homecoming events – October 15 – 16, 2010

            3:00 p.m. -- Homecoming Parade – There will be opportunities for band alumni to ride or march in the parade.

            5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. -- Outstanding Alumni Reception – Honoring Sherry Schoonover Quamme, 1961; Sheila Taft Fitzgerald, 1964; Dale Lawton, 1966; Darlo Wentz, 1967; Jeremy Clark, 1989; Dundee McNair, 1991.  RCHS west commons.  Sponsored by the Richland School District Foundation

            7:00 p.m. -- Homecoming Football Game – Specific alumni band member participation not determined at this time.

            2:00 p.m. -- Reunion Band rehearsal, RCHS auditorium

            6:00 p.m. -- Reunion Band Concert, playing with the current RCHS band, RCHS auditorium

            7:00 p.m. -- Memorabilia Displays and Reception, RCHS west commons. Reception sponsored by the RCHS Band Boosters

            8:00 p.m. -- Alumni Reception, Quail Run Golf Links, sponsored by the Richland School District Foundation

Musical Selections: Reunion Band Concert includes the following selections: Wave the Flag (school song), Star Spangled Banner, Stars and Stripes Forever, Phantom of the Opera, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Masquerade, Music of the Night. The current band members will play with the alumni and then complete the concert.

Attached forms: Two forms are attached.  One is for ordering an anniversary T-shirt.  One is for Homecoming Parade participation, Reunion Band Concert registration and music, instrument needs for concert, and football game participation.

Dear Richland Center High School Band Alumni/Participant,

The Richland Center High School Band will celebrate its 100^th anniversary in the fall of 2010.  You may or may not know that the Richland Center High School Band is the oldest public High School Band in the nation.  In honor of this centennial celebration, the RCHS Bands would like to invite you to participate in the celebration activities that we have planned for this extremely special event.  We would love to have you participate in our Homecoming Parade, Football Game, and the 100^th anniversary gala concert.  The Homecoming parade and game will take place on October 15^th and the concert will take place on October 16^th.  Please register your participation options below, by Saturday, September 18, 2010,  so that we may plan for this special event.
