Howdy Y’all!
Hats off to the organizers and hosts of the June Dairy Days Breakfast! A special ‘thank you’ to Annette Louis for her volunteerism the past 31 years to make the June Dairy Days Breakfast happen. This year the Armbruster family hosted the breakfast at their Red Brae Dairy Farm. The Armbruster’s have farmed in Richland County since 1993, and their farm is located west of Muscoda on Highway 60. The organizers said it was a record year for the breakfast. They served 4,000 people and shared the following statistics on amounts served:
88 gallons of white milk
2900 cartons of milk
225 lbs. of cottage cheese
147 lbs. of sliced cheese
435 lbs. of sausage
1500 cups of pudding
1500 cheese sticks
175 lbs. of cheese curds
10 pints of cream
105 gallons of ice cream
2000 yogurt tubes
1000 yogurt cups
75 applesauce gallons
Fun Fact: When the Richland County Dairy Breakfast originated in 1981 there were 600 in attendance.
The Wisconsin High School Rodeo was a success. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the many businesses, volunteers, participants, and spectators that helped to make this year’s rodeo successful. The weather held out and the crowds were good. The Dairy Days/Rodeo parade was well attended with many smiling faces! Congratulations to the following local
participants in the rodeo:
Heidi Bindl: 3rd Place Breakaway Roping, 2nd (tie) Place for Goat Tying, & 1st Place for Girls Cutting
Brenden Keepers: 2nd Place in Bull Riding
June is producing “Miles of Smiles” in Richland County. Let’s keep the fun going!!!
