Update 9/28/11 It was a disappointing 2011 Race Season, as the camel's never arrived via UPS, we have tracking number, but no camels! We are working diligenlty (seriously) on getting a camel race put together for 2012. If you have any leads on camels we would appreciate the help. Our overseas connection has let us down. Thanks for checking, and stay tuned for 2012! Never Give Up!
Pictured is two of our top racers on the circuit.
FYI: The camel jockeys in this picture were later found to be United Arab Emirates orphans, snatched from their parents for their obvious good looks and athletic prowess, to win races for their owner. They were subsequently returned to their respective families, and given half of their lifetime winnings, which was estimated to be approximately a bottle of jack and a swallow of crown royal.
Don't miss the inagural season of the
Richland County Camel Racing Association!
Our motto "One hump or two humps, It's all good."
Coming to Richland Center, WI 2011

"I have always enjoyed camel racing since I was young, and I have always wanted to bring this type of racing to the Richland County Fairgrounds. We look forward to weekly camel racing around the beautiful half mile track. We will have the best camel jockeys and racing camels that Wisconsin has to offer. We have big visions for the RCCRA. Stay tuned for camel and jockies as they precommit for the big money. We also will offer a rent a camel program, where spectators that have always wanted to race a camel. This gives them an opportunity to race in a camel race to see if they like it, before the major investment of their very own camel. We think it will be good for the sport."

Update 1/27 315pm
Great news! Just received a call from one of the founders of the Richland County Harness Go Fast or Go Home Association and their group is very excited about the RCCRA. He commented about how great it is that the track is getting more use, and the camels hooves will really help compact the soil. He also mentioned that their is potentional of harness racing the camels, but he would have to get back to me on that. He thinks the rent a camel program is great and he said he would be one of the first particpants. It justs keeps getting better and better. We are really excited about the future of the RCCRA, and the interest level from fans and competitors.
